Confluence Alerts: Know When Several Traders Buy the Same Coin

Confluence alerts message you when several traders buy the same coin within a time frame you set. What they are, how they work and how to set one up in Dawn.

01 / What it is

What a confluence alert is

One trader buying a coin is noise. Several traders buying the same coin within minutes of each other is a signal. A confluence alert watches for exactly that and messages you when it happens.

Each alert you set up says which traders to watch, how many of them need to buy the same coin, and how close together those buys must be. When a coin meets those conditions, Dawn messages you once. What you do with it is up to you.

02 / How it works

How an alert works

An alert has three numbers. With the defaults, 3 different traders must buy the same coin within 10 minutes, and once a coin alerts it stays quiet for 6 hours.

The three settings on a confluence alert and their defaults
SettingWhat it does
Time frame10 minHow close together the buys must land. A shorter frame means fewer, sharper alerts.
Traders needed3 tradersHow many different traders must buy the coin within that frame. A higher number means fewer, stronger alerts.
Cooldown6hHow long a coin stays quiet after it alerts, so one hot coin does not message you again and again.

What counts as a buy:

  • Only buys count. Sells never do.
  • Each trader counts once per coin, however many times they buy it. Three buys from one trader is one trader.
  • Every chain counts. Buys on Solana and every EVM chain are watched.
  • One message per coin. A coin's cooldown covers all your alerts, so if several of them match the same coin you get one message, not one per alert.

03 / Set up

Set up an alert

Open the Dawn bot, press 🔔 Alerts on the home screen or send /alerts, then choose 🎯 Confluence. Add an alert and go through the steps.

  1. Whose buys count. Pick which traders the alert watches.

    Two choices

    🏅 Top traders
Everyone on fomo's leaderboards. Follows the boards as they change, so you never need to update it.
    ✏️ Own list
Only the fomo traders you pick. Send up to 25 of them next; nobody else counts.
  2. Time frame. How close together the buys must land. Keep 10 min or set your own.
  3. Traders needed. How many different traders must buy within that frame. Keep 3 or set your own.
  4. Cooldown. How long a coin stays quiet after it alerts. Keep 6h or set your own.

The alert is on as soon as you finish, and it covers all your profiles.

04 / Manage

Manage your alerts

🎯 Confluence lists every alert you have. Open one to:

  • Turn it on or off.
  • Change its numbers. Time frame, traders needed and cooldown can all be edited.
  • Add or remove traders.
  • Delete it.

Limits

  • You can have up to 10 confluence alerts running at once, each with its own traders and settings. For example, one watching the leaderboards and another watching five traders you picked.
  • Each alert can watch up to 25 of your own traders.
